Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as domain architect for Appian solutions; define reference architectures, patterns, and reusable components; ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Orchestrate delivery across internal teams and multi-vendor partners; enforce SLAs/SOWs, integration quality, and hand-offs across a globally distributed model.
- Own SDLC for Appian products with DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and change governance (CAB); ensure traceability from requirements to deployment.
- Lead impact and risk assessments for changes; ensure security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., SOX/PII) are engineered into designs and validated pre-release.
- Engineer for performance, scalability, availability, and resilience; define SLOs/SLAs and shepherd reliability improvements across environments.
- Provide epic/project-level estimates; influence product and platform roadmaps; partner on capacity planning, vendor SOW/estimate reviews, and cost/performance trade-offs.
- Own HLD/architecture artifacts and approve LLDs; ensure documentation is current, reviewable, and audit-ready.
- Contribute to an Appian Center of Excellence: curate best practices, certifications, upgrade strategy, environment strategy, and governance of reusable objects.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
