Maximus are looking for an individual to lead on process change during an exciting transformation period in the business.


The Finance Transactional Team Supervisor will play a key role in leading and managing an established team administering the functions of purchase orders, accounts payable, corporate credit cards and treasury, ensuring associated transactions are recorded accurately and timely.


In addition to supervising the overall functions, be hands on with elements of transactional processing and be the point of contact for query escalation and resolution both internally within the business and externally with suppliers and banks.


Outside of business as usual activities, the Supervisor will help identify and deliver process improvement initiatives; system changes/enhancements and standardisation of operating procedures.


As the Financial Transactional Supervisor you will:

Lead and develop a team of six transactional finance administrators incorporating purchase ordering, accounts payable, corporate cards and treasury

Oversee accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, supplier invoices, corporate credit card transactions and banking transactions

Support the team with transactional processing, particularly in the shorter term

Generate weekly supplier payment runs and other ad-hoc payment requests

KPI reporting and monitoring

Drive process improvement initiatives.


Salary - £35,000 to £37,000 DOE.


This role will require 2 days a week in the office in Enderby LE19, Leicester and 3 days a week can be worked from home.

Role duties:


• Overseeing the activities of the transactional finance administrators to ensure timely and accurate recording of system entries and leading, motivating and mentoring the team.

• Support the transactional team with processing activities and lead in areas such as supplier payment runs and banking.

• Be integral in the identification and implementation of business process improvements and efficiencies and the introduction of new systems and working practices.

• Be the point of contact for internal and external query escalation and resolution

• Ownership of the tracking, management and reporting of KPIs and governance/control activities.



Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Minimum 5 years purchase ledger/procure to pay experience

• Proven experience of leading transactional finance teams

• Experience with banking platforms

• Process improvement and change experience

• Highly proficient in accounting packages (ideally SAP ByDesign) 

• Proficiency in MS packages, Excel, Outlook/Teams 

• Business stakeholder management experience.


Desirable

• Experience with procure to pay software packages

• Recognised accountancy qualification (AAT or similar).
