Description & Requirements

The Clinical Lead Specialist Benefits is a senior clinical role within a region that will champion implementation of the Assessment Quality Management Plan and be the role model for developing Quality Standards through coaching, guidance, safeguarding and audit assurance.

The role will cover all Specialist Benefits under FAS:
- Industrial Injury Disablement Benefit
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance / Attendance Allowance
- International Pensions and Benefits
- Veterans UK
- Compensation Recovery Scheme
- Occupational Health Assessments
- HMRC Statutory Sick Pay and Statutory Maternity Pay
- HMRC Child Trust Fund and Junior ISA

Significant experience as an approved Specialist Benefit assessor with demonstrable high quality and ability to deliver to performance standards
Experience of applying professional skills and managing own professional competence / accountability
Trained auditor
Trained to understand Paper Based Assessments and Consultations
Stage 3 Training Supervisor
Experience of effective collaboration to deliver common goals
Understanding of Specialist Benefit clinical policy
Experience of sharing best practice
Demonstrates self-reflection and commitment to continuous improvement
Effective Coaching and Mentoring Skills
Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Complies with CPD requirements
Proactive self-starter able to work independently
Fully compliant with internal guidance and professional standards
Responds positively to feedback
Excellent communication skills
Performance focus
Demonstrates empathy and integrity
Able to adapt to individuals learning styles
