Are you a skilled problem solver with a passion for technology and data analysis? Join our team as a Technical Consultant! In this role, you will lead technical consulting projects, focusing on system implementation and modernization for medium to long-term engagements. Your responsibilities will include problem identification, solution deployment, client training, and performance measurement. You'll analyze complex data, recommend actions, and track outcomes to ensure project success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Deliver consulting project activities for various projects.

- Analyze complex data and identify patterns, recommend actions, and measure outcomes.

- Coordinate with technical staff to understand business requirements, specifications, and processes.

- Conduct market research and understand  market trends.

- Create system functional specifications from business requirements.

- Interact with organization and client managers.

- Perform cost/schedule monitoring,
- Identify additional product and service opportunities in customer organization.


Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in related field.

- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.

- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

Additional Minimum Requirements:

- Child Welfare Modernization Systems experience required.
- Four (4) years of current, relevant experience. 
- In-depth data and problem analysis skills using industry standard means and tools.
- Ability to translate data into findings and communicate such to peers, management and clients.
- Experience writing detailed plans and reports and creating project deliverables.
- Ability to lead or work as a key member of a team with detail orientation. 
- Expertise and currency in government human services, health and/or workforce organizations is required.
- Ability to quickly understand health and human service business processes and systems that support these processes.
- Experience creating functional specifications for system solutions from business requirements.
- Experience working effectively with a cross functional team. 
- Experience in deadline-oriented work.
- Must possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to all segments of the population.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, Visio, Project and other computer software applications required to perform duties of this position.

Education preferred:  

- Master's degree in related field preferred.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
