Description & Requirements

The Senior Vice President for Federal Contracts and Subcontracts will oversee strategic procurement, contract negotiation, management, and compliance with federal regulations. They will lead and mentor a team of contract professionals, manage high-stakes negotiations, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal laws

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- As a member of the Office of General Counsel leadership team and the Maximus Federal management team, this role will provide strategic procurement, pursuit and capture advice, contract negotiation, management, administration and execution as well as serve as a strategic business advisor to the Federal General Manager and the Chief Legal Officer.

- Provide leadership and mentoring to a team of 20+ contract professionals.

- Accountable for the negotiation and execution of all contracts, subcontract, purchasing, and proposal activities in accordance with Maximus policies, FAR, public law, Uniform Commercial Code, and applicable ethical standards.
- Ensure Maximus Federal identifies, understands, manages, and maintains compliance related to risk, liability, and approval procedures and ensures compliance with corporate policies.
- Plan, organize, direct, and review the work of personnel engaged in the management and administration of customer contracts, subcontracts, consultants, and vendors to ensure proper discharge of assigned duties.
- Select and supervise the training of new personnel as well as providing guidance and assistance to department personnel in resolving complex problems.
- Direct and coordinate all liaison activities between Maximus Federal and its customers to ensure contract compliance and proper flow of contractual data and actively participates in matters which cannot be resolved by delegated department personnel.
- Oversee the Federal Small Business Subcontracting Liaison Office and Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) compliance program.
- Coordinate and advise the finance department with government contract compliance issues, audits, and FAR interpretations.
- Perform quality review of services provided.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
