Maximus is seeking dynamic and experienced Level of Care Supervisors to lead a team of professionals conducting clinical assessments for individuals seeking or receiving Iowa Medicaid Waiver services. In this role, you will ensure your team meets service level expectations, maintains compliance with state directives and regulatory requirements, and delivers high-quality, person-centered outcomes. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while driving team performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a mission-driven program.

This position will require occasional travel within Iowa as needed.

**Position is contingent upon contract award.

About the Program
The IA CSA (Iowa Core Standardize Assessments) will conduct clinical assessments for individuals seeking enrollment into all Iowa Medicaid Waivers or to conduct clinical reassessments for Medicaid Waiver Recipients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of employees through cultivation of a high performance team
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for assigned program area
- Serve as subject matter expert for identified area of program knowledge
- Ensure assigned team is meeting contract and individual SLA's, and related requirements
- Work with contract management and shared services to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
- May attend client and stakeholder meetings
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Perform all job duties in compliance with Person First standards, HIPAA guidelines, and company confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of diverse cultures and issues, with the ability to incorporate special needs into utilization review decisions.
- Working knowledge and understanding of behavioral health diagnoses, psychotropic medications, medical diagnoses, and prescribed medications.
- Excellent ability to multitask while effectively performing job duties, which include prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team while exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally and collegially with providers (hospital & nursing facility, physicians, community service workers, etc.), state contract officers, and coworkers while seeking or providing information.
- Ability to lead and manage a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for supporting a superior written rationale for review determination.
- Excellent computer skills with experience in word processing, email, and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel preferred); ability to work securely in remote locations, research information on the internet, utilize company resources/ tools stored on company sites.
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of two years of related experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health, Social Work or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the human services field
- Strong understanding of behavioral health diagnoses, psychotropic medications, medical diagnoses, and prescribed medications.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities, ensuring efficient execution of job duties.
- Ability to work independently while exhibiting strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable working with various digital tools.
- Ability to manage communication effectively, ensuring prompt responses to emails and voicemails (within two business hours).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with providers, state contract officers, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel within Iowa State

Preferred Requirements
- Experience working with older adults, pediatric, child, or adolescent populations
- Experience in supervising a team in the human services or healthcare field
- Knowledge of Medicaid Waiver, Long-Term Services, and Supports, or similar program
- Experience working with Person First standards, HIPAA guidelines, and confidentiality policies in a healthcare setting
- Additional certifications related to healthcare, social work, or human services are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to support decision-making

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
