Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer who focuses on building and maintaining AWS infrastructure for DoD applications, emphasizing scalability, security, and performance. This engineer will collaborate with various teams to enhance cloud configurations and automate processes, playing a vital role in optimizing DoD’s cloud-based operations.

This position is contingent upon award. This position is on-site and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Job-Specific Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructures for DoD applications.
Implement security measures, automate operations, and use CI/CD tools.
Collaborate with teams to optimize AWS network and storage configurations.
Develop scripts for automating network configurations and security compliance.

Job-Specific Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance required
5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages, cloud security principles & practices and Kubernetes.
IAT Level II
Must have AWS certifications or trainings in at least one of the following certifications. 3 years of proven relevant experience may be substituted for each certification.

AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or training
AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training
AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training
