Description & Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Salesforce Administrator to join our dynamic team and other cross-functional teams. You will assist in configuring systems, implementing best practices, and supporting integrations of internal platforms. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their technical skills, provide excellent user support, and build a career in Salesforce administration.

Per VES contract requirements, staff working on the VES project must be a US Citizen or US Legal Resident (green card holders)

This is a remote position. 

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
- Assist with managing user accounts, permission sets, and sharing rules under the guidance of senior administrators to help maintain a secure and efficient Salesforce environment. 
- Support user setup and maintenance, including tasks related to Active Directory and Azure authentication, with oversight from the team. 
- Assist in collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather basic requirements and support the implementation of Salesforce customizations using automation tools. 
- Provide first-level user support by responding to and resolving support tickets, escalating complex issues as needed. 
- Actively learn about the platform’s new tools, capabilities, and updates with guidance from the team. 
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on user adoption. 
- Support the team in managing integrations and data exchange processes between Salesforce and other platforms.
- Help monitor application storage, user licenses, and system updates tocontribute to smooth operations. 
- Engage with users to gather feedback, help resolve basic issues, and contribute to optimizing system functionality. 
- Learn and assist in administering changes, adhering to established change management processes. 
- Assist with basic system checks and data quality tasks as directed. 
- Assist with data loader tasks and learn about reporting analytics for basic troubleshooting to support data cleansing and integrity efforts. 
- Assist in creating and maintaining basic reports and dashboards; learn to analyze data and support the identification of business insights. 
- Support DevOps team members with tasks related to environment refreshes. 
- Provide backup support for team members on routine tasks, as needed and directed. 
- Assist with sandbox environment maintenance and testing. 
- Assist with training material preparation and basic requirements gathering, focusing on providing a positive user experience, to support collaboration with other workstreams. 
- Assist the DevOps Release Manager by supporting deployment coordination tasks. 
- Assist in troubleshooting basic production issues and learn from the DevOps team regarding cross-team coordination for resolving Salesforce-specific bugs or deployment challenges. 
- Commit to learning Salesforce best practices, trends, and platform updates to support team goals. 
- Willingness to be flexible with work hours for critical deployments, with
appropriate support and guidance
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: 
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (e.g., internships, personal projects). 
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical support, IT, or administrative role is a plus. 
- Basic understanding of Salesforce concepts (e.g., objects, fields, workflows). Hands-on experience with Salesforce through coursework, Trailhead, internships, or personal projects is highly desirable. 
- Eagerness to learn and develop a solid understanding of standard and custom objects, workflows, integrations, security, and compliance within Salesforce. 
- Team player with a positive attitude, able to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment. 
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
- Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and contribute to team goals. 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
- Basic understanding of or willingness to learn about the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices. 
- Salesforce Administrator certification (or in progress/willingness to obtain) is a strong plus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
