Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Cloud Adoption Specialist to support the Department of Defense (DoD) in accelerating cloud adoption and optimizing the Department’s use of cloud computing. This role involves supporting cloud governance boards and working groups, developing policy and guidance, conducting technical analyses, and driving contract rationalization efforts to align with DoD’s enterprise cloud strategies.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate the Enterprise Cloud governance meetings, including coordinating meetings, developing agendas, preparing read-ahead materials, and documenting outcomes.
Review and analyze cloud policies and architectures to ensure alignment with DoD CIO’s objectives; draft policy language and recommendations.
Provide technical and engineering analysis for cloud-related architectures and designs; prepare high-level documentation to support cloud adoption initiatives.
Develop and maintain processes for managing and rationalizing DoD cloud contracts; analyze contract data to identify optimization opportunities and create transition roadmaps.
Manage cloud-related data and metrics, collaborating with stakeholders to update metrics, maintain data dictionaries, and develop dashboards for visibility.
Support the development and implementation of the DoD Cloud FinOps Strategy, including establishing data standards and facilitating working groups.

Requirements

Active Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in data management, analysis, and integration.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement data governance and rationalization strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

TCS021, T3, Band 6

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
Familiarity with DoD cloud policies, architectures, and contracts.
Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and metrics for cloud data.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
