Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to provide expertise to a Federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

The Configuration Management Analyst will take on responsibilities that are central to maintaining the integrity and control of configuration items.

Project Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document configuration management requirements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration data.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures for a variety of different systems, such as Windows, Linux, RHEL, etc.
  • Maintaining the configuration management database and repository.
  • Perform regular audits, review, and documentation for system configurations.
  • Support cross-functional teams in conducting environment scans and documentation in preparation for upgrades, patches, disaster recovery, and any other happenings as needed.
  • Work closely with system admins, network engineers, platform engineers, and other IT staff to ensure documentation and recording of configurations.
  • Manage the configuration report of all systems and software/hardware across the enterprise environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the configuration process/practices.
  • Maintain version control of operational configurations for hardware and software.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to resolve configuration-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Project Minimum Requirements:

  • Per contract requirements candidate must possess an Active Secret clearance. 
  • Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship.
  • This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
  • Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Colorado Springs, CO.   
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 7 + years of related experience.
  • Experience as a Configuration Management Analyst or related field. 
  • Change or Configuration Management tools
  • Experience with MS Office Suite. 

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, Unix, RHEL.
  • Configuration Management tools such as IBM ELM or Rational, GIT, Remedy.
  • Sharepoint.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
