Description & Requirements

Maximus is looking for a Database Administrator. 

This position is on-site, five days a week and requires an active Public Trust security clearance.

Job-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Provide reliable and resilient database support and systems administration support for Oracle and SQL databases and platform environments. As a member of a high performing team, you will focus on developing, building, configuring, and maintaining database schema for enterprise and scientific applications and users.

You will manage and maintain database schema, connections, tables, frameworks, as well as leverage tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), SQL Server Management Studio, and related tools to deliver optimal performance and ensure system availability, security, and integrity.

This position interfaces with government staff, adjacent contractors, researchers, and scientists to document user requirements, develop database tables and formats, scope system requirements, and provide new capabilities while supporting the existing environment.


Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: 
  • University degree (BA/BS) in a closely related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Design and Engineering). Work experience as an Oracle or SQL DBA may be substituted for the education requirement in a year for year basis.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience as a systems administrator or engineer, specifically in Mac and Unix-based operating environments.  
  • Oracle certifications highly desired

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
