Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking an Executive Assistance to support a government client based out of Arlington, VA. This resource will provide a full-spectrum of executive level assistance to support a DoD civilian program director. They must understand how to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team to support the executive, and the broader senior-level staff members to meet enduring directorate and departmental requirements.  

Position involves, but is not limited to, organizing, developing, formulating, and managing executive-level activities internal to the directorate, and in support to larger external stakeholder(s) and intergovernmental agencies.  This resource must be able to provide strategic advice, counsel and sound recommendations to the executive when required.

What You Will Do:
-Serve as the primary Executive Assistant to a GS-15 Director-level and their staff.
- Proactively manage and organize a variety of executive correspondence
  requirements.
- Prepare daily calendar activities to support executive’s meetings and deconflict where appropriate.
- Works closely with, and supports elements of the Front Office to
  ensure the Director has required read-ahead material(s), and other relevant
  documents to assist with engagements.
- Provide assistance, and support the Director’s travel requirements, using the
  Defense Travel System (DTS).
- Handle official communications requests using conventional DoD telephonic,
  electronic mail and hard-copy method.

Required Skills:
- Candidates must posses an active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Bachelors degree, or higher education, or 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
- 8+ years of demonstrable experience.
- 5+ years experience working in direct support to DoD managers.
- 5+ years experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS
  Outlook Calendar, and MS Word.
- 5+ years experience using the DoD Correspondence and Task Management
System (CATMS) and/or Joint Staff Action Process (JSAP).

Desired Skills:
- Strong writing and communication skills to support Sr. Government / Military
personnel activities.
- Possess problem-solving skills in a DoD environment.
- Possess interpersonal skills and experience supporting decision making for
DoD senior leadership, Service Staff and Joint Staff level.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
