Maximus is currently seeking an IT Architect – Cloud Platform to lead the vision, design, and evolution of enterprise platform ecosystems across cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and data platforms. This role is responsible for defining architecture strategy, governance models, and engineering standards while ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, and developer‑friendly.
The IT Architect operates at an enterprise level, influencing multiple teams and domains, driving platform modernization, and ensuring alignment with business, security, and compliance objectives while remaining selectively hands‑on in critical areas.
This is a remote position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise SaaS and PaaS platform architectures, automation solutions, and deployment frameworks to improve scalability, availability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of cloud platform solutions, providing architectural recommendations that address business, operational, and technical requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud platform technologies, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and consultation to project teams, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Design and maintain platform infrastructure, disaster recovery capabilities, and high-availability solutions to support reliable and resilient service delivery.
- Analyze complex technical issues, perform root cause investigations, and develop innovative solutions to improve platform performance, reliability, and manageability.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud services, platform technologies, and software integrations, including proof-of-concept efforts and adoption recommendations for emerging capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and application teams to promote cloud architecture standards, automation best practices, and operational procedures.
- Lead the development and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code solutions, automated testing frameworks, and deployment processes to support efficient software delivery and platform operations.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
