Description & Requirements

The IT Project Manager is responsible for providing overall management of assigned technology projects in support of the corporate transformation initiatives, day-to-day business operations, and our external clients and partners. The IT PM will direct and oversee the implementation and full lifecycle of cloud-based business solutions. The IT PM will regularly interface with the IT engineering resources, IT management and other line-of-business owners, to ensure speed of delivery, transparency of project work, and consistent stakeholder participation. The IT PM will have full responsibility for meeting client mandated schedules, motivating team members to complete work efficiently and accurately, and ensuring that all services are delivered according to project contractual requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and oversee infrastructure delivery services.
- Assist with project budget, resources, and schedule.
- Ensure deliver of project lifecycle documents, including, but are not limited to, Project Plan, Installation Plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Systems Design Document, Configuration Management (CM) Plan, Release Management Plan, & Risk Management Plan.
- Track costs, schedule, and project performance, and take corrective actions, when necessary, to ensure that projects are within budget, on schedule, and meet quality standards & customer satisfaction.
- Utilize Project Management (PM) lifecycle and Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Serve as the primary point of contact and interface between technical teams and upstream project/program managers, business stakeholders, and external clients if applicable.
• Establish client and business relationships and manage expectations of project sponsors
• Perform all project management functions including work breakdown, scheduling, tracking against the defined milestones and budget
• Review proposal or client request material, to determine the scope of the project, and which resource teams will need to be engaged once a project is assigned
• Request project team resources from the various matrixed support organizations across the enterprise
• Ability to manage a backlog/pipeline of requested work and to constantly prioritize work being assigned to the team.
• Ability to discuss and define the scope of the project, and gain appropriate signoffs before starting work
• Manage day-to-day tasks for internal and vendor managed project team members
• Collaborate with other IT PMs on inter-dependent projects as well as program managers responsible for delivering the overall enterprise strategy to the organization
• Plan, document, and manage the afterhours go-live events and related production changes in support of the project implementation
• Be capable of managing the entire product management lifecycle (Development, Implementation, Launch, Maintenance, Production Support, Continual Improvements)
• Ensure MAXIMUS project management standards and procedures are followed
• Perform other technical/leadership roles as assigned

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience required.
• Critical Soft Skills:
o Excellent oral and written communication skills, including being highly self-organized, and able to take the initiative in all aspects of your duties
o Must be capable of taking full ownership of project assignments and working with cross-disciplinary organizations to accomplish the mission
o Have a focus on customer service skills working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure teams are delivering value
o Must be able to manage several complex projects simultaneously
o Excellent attention to detail, good analytical skills, good problem-solving skills, must be self-driven and capable of managing technical resources.
o Must be able to firmly align project resources and stakeholders as to the agreed upon project deliverables
o Must work well in both very small project teams, and as part of a very large distributed project team, depending on project assignments
o Adaptability, flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguous project scope and constant organizational change
o Ability to work with a DevOps mindset to eliminate delays, own the delivery, and ensure the team is delivery quality services.
o Willing to continuously put in the extra effort to get the job done under tight constraints
o Prior experience with implementation of telephony platforms a plus

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
