Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Neuropsychologist to support the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) program. This position provides specialized clinical expertise to enhance the psychological health, cognitive performance, operational readiness, and long-term resilience of U.S. Special Operations Forces personnel and their families. The Neuropsychologist conducts comprehensive assessments, develops evidence-based treatment recommendations, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and contributes to research and program improvement initiatives.

Candidates residing in or near the following locations are strongly preferred: Camp Lejeune, NC; Coronado, CA; Fort Bragg, or NC; Hurlburt Field, FL

U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must possess an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as required for contract performance. This position is pending upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of employees through cultivation of a high performance team.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for assigned program area.
- Serve as subject matter expert for identified area of program knowledge.
- Ensure assigned team is meeting contract and individual SLA's, and related requirements.
- Work with contract management and shared services to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.
- May attend client and stakeholder meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning in military personnel and eligible family members.
- Evaluate and interpret conditions including traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other neurocognitive or behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation recommendations, including cognitive rehabilitation and psychotherapy interventions, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, human performance, and operational professionals to coordinate integrated care and support mission readiness.
- Provide consultation and education to patients, families, providers, and program stakeholders regarding neuropsychological findings and recommended interventions.
- Support clinical research, data analysis, and program evaluation activities that advance understanding of brain-behavior relationships and improve program effectiveness.
- Provide professional consultation or expert testimony in forensic or operational contexts, as required.
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable professional standards, privacy requirements, ethical principles, and program procedures.
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of two years of related experience.
- Current LCSW or LMSW with license valid in the state of practice is required.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical neuropsychology, psychological testing, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning.
- Knowledge of professional, ethical, privacy, and documentation standards applicable to clinical practice and research.
- Strong analytical, written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in clinical, research, and mission-focused environments while exercising sound professional judgment and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced training or board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
- Experience supporting military populations, Special Operations Forces, veterans, or other high-performance communities.
- Experience evaluating and treating traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, trauma-related conditions, or complex neurocognitive presentations.
- Experience collaborating within integrated medical and behavioral health teams.
- Experience supporting clinical research, outcomes measurement, or program evaluation.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
