Description & Requirements
As part of the Rapid Deployment Team (RDT), you will:
- Embed seamlessly with federal programs, capturing mission-critical workflows through hands-on-keyboard engineering to design, prototype, and deploy real-time solutions—delivered in weeks, not months. Working across growth, operations, legal, contracts and GTM teams.
- Transform internal technical innovations into externally consumable solutions, building a repeatable solutions framework to support listings in digital marketplaces, including compliance, pricing, GTM planning, and lifecycle readiness.
- Architect scalable automation with AI and modern tooling, driving CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and real-time observability to increase velocity and delivery consistency at mission scale.
This role is for senior to principal engineers—technical builders who’ve led end-to-end delivery in production environments and thrive in dynamic, high-stakes, mission-aligned environments. It’s intense and challenging, but you will be supported—operationally, culturally, and strategically.
The RDT is highly selective, mission-obsessed, and relentlessly outcome-oriented. If you thrive under pressure, reject bureaucracy, and embrace ownership and accountability—this is where you stand out and scale impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to Developers and Project Teams.
- Meet with Business Partners, Project Managers, and Vendor Partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to Stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Identify and document business and functional requirements determined by Business Partners and Stakeholders.
- Define, elicit, and analyze existing and new system functions and processes.
- Make recommendations to meet the business goals and user needs.
- Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the organization within area of expertise.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply a “solution mindset” to convert R&D and internal capabilities into marketplace-ready offerings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across growth, BD, engineering, legal, and GTM teams to ensure customer and market viability of solutions.
- Act as a customer-facing engineer to directly support BD and delivery in mission environments.
- Continuously identify bottlenecks and build automated systems that scale our technical operations and sped of delivery.
- Develop, build, test, and maintain a scalable productization framework for use across multiple solution areas.
- Support marketplace solution lifecycle: packaging, compliance documentation, pricing, and updates.
- Serve as an embedded engineer for one or more federal mission programs to collect requirements, build prototypes, and drive delivery in field environments.
- Design and implement automation workflows across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring systems.
- Translate field insights into actionable improvements to roadmap, architecture, or product design.

- Willingness and ability to support field engagements and travel to mission sites as needed.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting or operating within DoD programs or highly regulated federal environments.
