Description & Requirements

The Senior Analyst – Systems Analysis position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating business requirements, consulting with personnel from various departments and identifying areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes. The position works independently with limited supervision along with acting as a lead for other system analysts as needed. The position will exhibit strong communication and technical skills to support stakeholders and project clients.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead reviews and analyze efficiencies of systems

- Analyze system data and performance reports to identify trends and business impact.

- Mentor IT Application Analysts in data analysis and process improvements

- Interact with all levels within the organization; develop working relationships with management, staff, stakeholders and business partners

- Participate in meetings and evaluate outcomes to ensure needs of project stakeholders are being met

• Translates business requirements and objectives into system level requirements for use by development and testing teams.
• Performs data analysis and documentation of system processes, and data flows.
• Communicates with stakeholders, clients, external vendors and software development team members to build dynamic solutions that meet the business needs of our various clients.
• Facilitates and leads collaborative meetings as needed for successful implementation of complex project goals.
• Performs trouble shooting on production issues, infrastructure configurations and user related defects, that arise on a day-to-day basis to support the business.
• Acts as a resource for completing system configurations such as permissions, security and rules.
• Works on task-related assignments that are complex and far-reaching.
• Works independently with limited supervision and may delegate and review the work product of junior analysts.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficient knowledge and practical use of relational databases and data modelling concepts.
• Proficient use of Agile processes to decompose epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as PLSQL, Oracle SQL Developer.
• Experience with process modeling tools such as Lucid Chart.
• Experience with integration analysis tools such as Apigee, Postman.
• Experience with ETL and data integration tools such as Pentaho Kettle ETL, Talend.
• Experience with file transfer tools such as MOVEit, Axway.
• Familiarity with the technical aspects of API
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree program and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Preferred Certifications:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect or other relevant industry standard certifications aligned to the role of a Senior Analyst are considered a plus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
