Maximus is hiring a Bilingual Fatherhood Strengthening Specialist (Sr. Counselor of Case Management) to be responsible for coordinating all services and to help ensure that the customer is making meaningful progress toward enhancing education skills, preparing for, finding, and retaining employment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Offer comprehensive case management services to a caseload of program participants facing significant obstacles to employment.

- Utilize specialized expertise to address unique challenges faced by participants on long-term Cash Assistance, those with a history of sanctions or program non-compliance, or individuals with ex-offender status.

- Consider and evaluate barriers to employment when determining appropriate program placements for participants.

- Conduct job readiness screenings and assessments to gauge participant readiness for employment.

Evaluate participants' needs for Back to Work services and assist in formulating individualized Employment Plans.

- Direct applicants and participants to suitable program components, ensuring their engagement in beneficial services.

- Oversee and coordinate all project services provided to each participant, ensuring comprehensive support.

- Connect program participants with community resources such as long-term and emergency childcare services, providing follow-up to ensure effective service delivery.

- Offer employment counseling and job leads, facilitating job placement and retention for participants.

- Provide ongoing support to maintain stability in employment, coordinating retention activities as needed.

- Initiate non-compliance procedures and manage the process for participants who fail to meet program requirements.

- Regularly engage in workgroups and committees focused on assessing customer needs, enhancing services, and implementing innovative strategies.

- Perform additional duties as directed by management.

- Provide case management services to a caseload of assigned program participants experiencing severe barriers to employment.
- Develop and use expertise to address special issues affecting participants who are on long-term Cash Assistance; have a history of sanction or program non-compliance; or ex-offender status.
- Consider barriers to employment in making program placement decisions.
- Provide job readiness screening and assessment.
- Assess participants need for Back to Work services and assist participants to develop Employment Plan.
- Refer applicants and participants to appropriate program components.
- Coordinate all project services provided to a participant.
- Refer program participants to community resources, including long-term and emergency childcare services; and provides follow up as to   the effective provision of service.
- Provide employment counseling and job leads to participants to ensure job placement and retention.
- Provide support to ensure stability in employment and coordinates ongoing retention activities for employed participants if necessary.
- Initiate non-compliance procedures and follows up on process for participants who fail to meet program requirements.
- Participate regularly in work groups and committees aimed at evaluating customer needs, improving services, and implementing new service strategies.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
- Travel up to 35% of the time throughout the state of Tennessee
Minimum Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Fluency in Spanish and English languages
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including a track record of interacting with all levels of staff, management and/or government
- Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
