Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a high performance team that thrives in an agile development and DevOps environment.
- Lead design, implementation, governance and support of key technology platforms that support our digital transformation.
- Partner with the business, understand objectives and current challenges to assist in designing solutions.
- Closely collaborate with technology and business partners across the firm to scale existing products to new lines of business while also advancing our digital agenda through automation and straight through processing.
- Utilize best in class technology solutions to develop compelling features Clients will love that also advance strategic agendas, like ongoing application modernization, retirement of legacy platforms, cross-enterprise scaling, cloud migration, and move towards DevOps.
- Manage capital and operating budgets and resource forecasts.
- Provide guidance on procurement and contract activities.
- Develop and manage relationships and maintain healthy collaboration with key external technology partners and 3rd party vendors.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners in product management, design, data analytics, and QA to maximize the teams’ success.
- Own the resolution of production problems and efforts to track and remediate issues.
- Use extensive management skills and experience to develop technical and managerial leadership skills and create a vibrant culture of mutual support and motivation.
- Foster an environment of experimentation and continual improvement.
- Be or become an expert in one or more of the following platforms: Amazon AWS, Pivotal, etc.
- Ensure the appropriate security and privacy measures are implemented on technology solutions to protect Company data from intentional or accidental misuse.
- Collaborate and provide technical input to enterprise MAXIMUS organizations on M&A activities, business development, proposal submissions, etc.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferred field of study Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience, 12 years of experience in the related field.
- Demonstrated leadership building out SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions.
- Strong background in driving large technical projects from conception to rollout/production.
- Ability to use “just enough” metrics to make data-driven decisions without losing flexibility.
- Experience working in multi-team agile development programs.
- Knowledge of cutting edge technologies and toolkits.
- At least 5 years of people management experience with both on shore direct reports and offshore vendor management.
- At least 5 years of experience in government Healthcare (Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP) or other heavily-regulated industry.
- At least 7 years of experience with running medium to large/complex projects with multiple dependencies using Agile and DevOps principles from develop through to production.
- Interest in being actively involved in development and ideation of new features and platforms.
- Experience developing organizational and product KPI’s.
- Broad and deep knowledge of technology and trends.
- Experience with financial management and budgeting processes, contracting and procurement processes, and RFP and proposal processes.
- Strong track-record of building and leading platform engineering team focused on Infrastructure platform and support.
- Experience working with software such as PCF, Apigee, Solace Message brokers, App Dynamics, Splunk, Vault.
- Experience deploying platform infrastructure both on public cloud and private cloud.
- Familiarity with micro-service architecture and experience in developing RESTful services is a plus.
- Knowledge of Cloud platform like AWS, GCP, Terraform, CI/CD .
- Familiarity with systems management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
- Experience in modern build and release practices, Agile, and DevOps.
- Experience working in multi-team agile development programs.
- Knowledge of the latest trends in Cloud and AI technologies
- At least 5 years of people management experience with both on shore direct reports and offshore vendor management.
