Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives for a Homeland Security customer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, and oversight of technical teams. This role will ensure that projects meet requirements, are delivered on time, and stay within scope and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional technical teams in delivering IT services and solutions for a Homeland Security customer.
  • Oversee project life cycle from initiation through delivery, including developing project plans, timelines, and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and contractual requirements, maintaining project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of project deliverables.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance (with ability to pass agency-specific background investigation).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of technical project management experience, preferably within federal or homeland security environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure or software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or Agile certification.
  • Experience working with federal agencies, especially Homeland Security.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
