Maximus is seeking a Tier 2 IT User Support Specialist to support work with a Health client remotely.
The Tier 2 Support Agent works under established plans to collect, verify, and analyze support and operational data related to system performance, incident response, and user-reported issues. Identifies trends, recurring technical problems, and systemic issues to support proactive service management and technical resolution efforts.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust security clearance and is contingent upon award.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on a variety of projects requiring considerable judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of technical tactics, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
- Resolve more complex technical issues submitted by less-experienced technicians.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles more complex technical issues.
- Resolve Tier 2 tickets within 48 business hours.
- Perform technical changes, production bug research.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 3.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of related work experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is required. An associate’s degree + 2 years of work-related experience or a high school diploma/ GED + 4 years of work-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Due to federal requirements, candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another country.
- The ability to obtain, and maintain, a Public Trust clearance is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience.
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
