Description & Requirements

Maximus is currently hiring for a Data Analyst to join our Fed NSA team. This is a remote opportunity. The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data to help solve business problems and to provide detailed business insights to management. They will design reports based on the requestor’s requirements in support of key business strategies and be responsible for defining data requirements, gathering and validating data, applying judgment and highlighting areas of note to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for database administration, data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting.

- Design database reports based on the requestor’s requirements in support of key business strategies.

- Perform queries, data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to provide reporting solutions.

- Monitor customer usage, upgrades, and reporting tools; monitor queries and ensure security of various components.

- Create user guides and train on use of database reports, as necessary.


- Experience with Salesforce; developing reports, dashboards, and Data Loader.
- Ability to define data requirements, gather and validate data, apply analysis, and present output.
- Experience in day-to-day operational setting developing reports, dashboards and data extracts.
- Perform queries, data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to provide reporting solutions.
- Exceptionally proficient use of MS Excel to organize, summarize (analyze), and present data.
- Capability to develop visualization objects in Excel or other BI tools.
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently; a self-motivator, and work as part of a team, proactively seeking out requirements.
- Commitment to quality work, ensuring reports are error free before providing deliverables to management.
- Create user guides and train on use of reports and dashboards.
- Generate on a routine basis, (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) reports including productivity, finance, and project performance.
- Respond to and execute ad hoc reporting requests submitted by management.
- Complete other duties assigned by management.
- Completion of extensive background check and identity proofing within 90 days of onboarding, may include credit check, student loan review, or requests for copies of specific documentation (social security card, state issued ID, etc.)
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to work a schedule between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm EST Monday - Friday required.
- E
xperience in a reporting/business intelligence function required. 

Preferred Experience:
Experience with the Federal No-Surprises Act (NSA) Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process.
- Experience with testing and aggregating results from SQL queries or SAS.
- Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word mail merge functionality.
- Experience with Automation Anywhere, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes, and use of multiple virtual desktops.
- Experience with Genesys Call Center Software

Please note: For this position 
Maximus will provide equipment to use.

Home Office Requirements:
- Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required / 50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)
- Minimum 5mpbs upload speed
- Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
- Private work area and adequate power source
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
